Parent/Carer information

Parent involvement
As a parent, it is important to be closely involved in your child’s educational learning process. In the bridge class, we start with a meeting where you get to know other parent(s)/carer(s) and your child’s learning coach. This is because the learning coach is the first point of contact.

In addition, there are three moments during the school year when a triangular meeting is scheduled: this is a meeting between you, the learning coach and your child. There are also opportunities for teacher-parent interviews, where you as a parent/carer can ask specific questions per subject area. Any questions in between? Then there is always room for an extra appointment!

You can also be actively involved together with us! Many parent(s)/carer(s) enjoy being able to cooperate with school. To this end, we have two opportunities in which you can participate:

  • Resonance Group (RG)
  • Parent Council (OR)

SOMtoday
Our school works with SOMtoday as a student tracking system and this allows both you and your child to view the class schedule, homework and grades. You can also use this system to report a doctor’s visit or a sick note yourself.

Parental contribution
The parental contribution is voluntary. We use it to pay for accident insurance, use of the media library facilities, a school ID card and a locker. For some activities that are not covered by the voluntary contribution, we do ask for a contribution, such as a bilingual course where your child goes abroad or when taking exams in certain subjects (drawing or physical education – LO2).

I have a question, what now?
We have made an overview of various procedures (calling in sick, requests for leave, lateness, etc.) within our school. You can probably already find your answer here. If not, you can of course always call or send an e-mail. Our contact details can be found here.
